Good question, last month I played in my first OTB tourney in 9 years ... a world of difference from when I was playing 200 OTB games a year (not counting 5 minute or bughouse)-- in my games, time control usually can impact decisions - not knowing but if that was factor then a draw is fine - but if you had an hour to go and your opponent a 1/2 hour then in that case continuing to play would make more sense on your part ... in the final position White is better - but there is no clear cut win -- so another 20 or so moves maybe there would be more daylight - but I do have question about 11. Rd1 vs a more normal like 11. Nbd2!? .. was that special prep?

I am not myself qualified to have an opinion on your play.

However, in the 1st of these 2 games, Droidfish agrees that the move you made was a little bad. Also a little bad was Black's 17th. The real turning point was on 18 ... Be6 -- should be 18 ... b4. Until then, it was about even, but your game after it.

In the London Chess Classic FIDE Open, here is the very lucky draw vs GM Peter Wells (I was two pawns down at one point!)

[[pgn
1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. Nc3 Bb4 4. e3 O-O 5. a3 Bxc3+ 6. bxc3 c5 7. Bd3 Nc6 8.
Ne2 e5 9. d5 e4 10. Bc2 Na5 11. O-O d6 12. f3 Nxc4 13. Ng3 Re8 14. Bxe4 Nxe4
15. fxe4 Ne5 16. Rf4 Qa5 17. c4 Qc3 18. Bd2 Qxc4 19. Rc1 Qd3 20. Rc3 Qa6 21.
Qh5 Qb6 22. Rc1 Qb2 23. Nf1 Ng6 24. Rf2 Rxe4 25. Qf3 Re7 26. e4 Qd4 27. Re1 Ne5
28. Qg3 Ng4 29. Be3 Nxe3 30. Rxe3 Qe5 31. Qh4 Bd7 32. h3 Rae8 33. Ng3 h6 34.
Rf5 Qd4 35. Rff3 Re5 36. Kh2 Rg5 37. Qf4 f6 38. Qxd6 Bc8 39. Qc7 1/2-1/2
]]

I also drew quite comfortably with an INternational Master the round before (not down any material!) :-

[[pgn
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 Nf6 5. O-O Be7 6. Re1 b5 7. Bb3 d6 8. c3
O-O 9. h3 Na5 10. Bc2 c5 11. d4 Qc7 12. Nbd2 Nc6 13. d5 Nd8 14. a4 Rb8 15. b3
Ne8 16. Nf1 g6 17. axb5 axb5 18. g4 Ng7 19. Ng3 f6 20. Nh2 Nf7 21. f4 exf4 22.
Bxf4 Ne5 23. Nf3 Bd7 24. Kg2 b4 25. c4 Ra8 26. Qe2 Ra5 27. Nxe5 fxe5 28. Be3
Qa7 1/2-1/2
]]

Later on in the tournament I had to play what seemed to be a very underrated Japansese player, and manage to basically lose all rating gains made - so getting the same rating performance in the end as my rating nearabout (about 2100 FIDE)
