E4, C5 then D4!? Why D4 should not be played prior to Nf3
Sometimes when we try to surprise our opponents we surprise ourselves an early D4 moves forces queen to recapture and black by simply playing Nc6 gains momentum. White now is forced to retrieve queen thanks to early d4 move and black will now be ahead in development. Grand rule is never making a move that forces you to play the same major piece twice in the opening. This is how white could be trashed swiftly when this principle is breached.
