I recommend the following annotation to be checked out and feedback given to the game annotator who is: Earl of Norfolk
Wilhelm Steinitz and his crazy gambit.
Wilhelm Steinitz, the first universally acknowledged world chess champion, had many novel ideas about the opening. One is the gambit named for him, in which he allows his King to be pushed to the centre of the board in exchange for occupying d4 and e4 with Pawns. Every so often, the opportunity arises to play his gambit, and I can never seem to resist doing so, despite the complications.
Steinitz died in an insane asylum, but before he reached that state he played some marvelously inventive games and greatly enhanced chess theory.
