Agreed, so let's restart the comments and discussion of this line here in the forum when the opening phase of our both games is finished and the ongoing games can't be influenced any more.

We probably shouldn't be discussing this in detail while there are games still in progress.

I'm asking - but don't answer till it won't disadvantage you in games you are still playing.

You are right.4.f3 in the Nimzo is a straightforward attempt to seize control of e4. At the cost of delaying development, but trying to refute Black's plan: to play for control of the e4-square. Black's most common reply is 4...d5 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.bxc3 c5 7.cxd5 Nxd5 8.dxc leading us here

Analyse position

This line could lead to the position I mentioned in a previous post, see

Analyse position

Due to the lack of a greater number of high class games I can only rely on my own experiences against high class CC players and have to assess that this position is completely unclear and that we need many more games for a final assessment.
All my games with this line and other side-lines of the 4.f3 line are commented and annotated in detail. Just ask and I'll give you more details.

OK, I'm interested.

Is the idea to force Black to play d7d5 in order to prevent e2e4?

I only intend to annotate the opening phase, not the whole game. Just the characteristic and critical moves of this particular opening line.

Well, part of it will depend on how long the games are. I hate trying to annotate any game longer than around 35 moves, especially if it's one I lost.

Thanks - and accepted. Let's annotate both games after they are finished and post the annotations here in the forum, right?

Looks interesting and totally outside the realm of my experience. I'll give it a go. Invite is on the way.
