When he plays against the Sicilian Defence his combinations evoke memories of Fischer.But against 1.e4 e5 then he plays according to scheme based on the pawn structure of both players.It is interesting that Nigel Davies did not achieve Grandmaster status until he started answering 1.e4 with 1...e5 yet Karpov quit playing 1.e4 because of the Sicilian Defence 1...c5.Food for thought.

An 11 year old International Master from India recently beat GM Axel Bachmann in 18 moves.His name is rather long: Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu. This is mentioned at page 177 of New in Chess Yearbook 123, I am certain we will be hearing more from him.

Amazing
I find shogi very difficult, mind blowing exercise. Well, I learned chess at 4 and shogi at 50, perhaps this is the difference. I'm 8 kyu lol
Concerning humility, it's the easy part. Perseverance is the hard part.
