Mip, I was not yet fully impregnated by the magic of the position, spiced by other intoxicating substances, when I remembered your most welcome comments on Bichu's problem... and the charm vanished as I realised that you had given me the key, alas Mind you, I will have a go at another problem or two tonight

A really splendid construction, it reminded me immediately of the following shockingly beautiful study by Gurvich:

One of the more aesthetically pleasing and easier of Loshinsky's piece of art.

However, I am not so sure about the correctness of the theme. There are no duals to avoid. In my mind self-block or even better self-interference would describe black's defensive moves better...
