As I just mentioned in the Cafe forum - Believe it or not the requirement was met back in 1993, when I had a good Lloyds bank masters tournament, and hit 2245 on the FIDE rating list.
However the title "FIDE Candidate Master" was only introduced by FIDE I think just a couple of years ago - but it indicates that if at *any time* you were over 2200, then you could claim it. For the last 10 years I haven't played that many FIDE rated games, and I have been below 2200.
It is quite funny to be claiming a title based on 1993 :) Thanks to Stewart Reuben who apparently recommended the title to FIDE.
