Ok, I didn't check the Rxh5 line out. I changed my vote to f5.

Hi Miquelstone,

After 21… f6 White can play 22.Rxh5 (instead of 22.Rxe5) gxh5 23.f4 Bxc3+ 24.Qxc3 Rf7 25.Bxh5 Nxe4 26.Qh3 Qxa5+ 27.Kf1 Qa6+ 28.Kg1 f5 29.f3

And Black also is in trouble.

Best regards
Dibbellabbes

I agree 21...Bg7 is out of the question.

What about the following line?

21...f6 22.Rxe5 fxe5 23.Bxf8 Rxf8 which puts pressure on f3, thus 24.Nb1 is forced!

Hi Günter and Team,

I am fascinated again of Yulia’s playing style. It seems that Black comes in a losing position after 21… Bg7, e.g.

22.Bxg7 Kxg7 23.e5 Kf5 24.d6 exd6 25.exd6 Qd8

(25... Qc6 26.Ne4 h6 27.Qc3+ f6 28.Rxh5 gxh5 29.Qxc5 +-)

26.Ne4 b6 27.Qc3+ Nd4

(27… f6 28.Ng3 Nxg3 29.fxg3 h6 30.Rgd5 +-)

28.Rxd4 cxd4 29.Qxd4+ f6 30.Ng3 Kh8 31.Nxh5 gxh5 32.Rxh5 Rc8 33.Qh4 and Black is in heavy trouble.

So 21… f5 22.Bxf8 Rxf8 could be worth to think about (offering the quality sacrifice again). I think it's very important to block the dangerous white e-pawn in order to stop its advance.

Best regards
Dibbellabbes
