Site Youtube Videos
You may want to check out some of the videos which Majnu, Canstein, No6, Hard Dazed Knight and myself have been doing in recent days and also others which have been tagged with 'Letsplaychess.com'. You can use the widget below to navigate our videos:
N.B. Say you wanted Kasparov videos which are tagged letsplaychess.com , just put : "Kasparov + letsplaychess.com" in the bottom right and click Go!
Here is a link to our new Chess Videos forum. If you have a website/ blog, you can copy and paste the video embed code found under each video.
Here is an instructive video by Majnu explaining how to do a Chess video:
You can download the Microsoft Media encoder software from this link
If you want your video on our site video list, just add the tag 'letsplaychess.com' when you submit a video. The more other relevant tags you put the better so that anyone using Youtube.com can find your video. For example say you did a video on Alekhine vs Capablanca game 1922, you might have the following tag list added when you submit your video to youtube:-
letsplaychess.com chess chessgame Alekhine Capablanca game annotated chessgame 1922
Also if you could make the title of your video prefixed with "Letsplaychess.com presents " followed by the title, it might be good site publicity. As well as this, you may want to consider submitting your video to Digg.com in the Playable web games video section. If you want to support our Site's video creators, as well as voting on youtube, you can also Digg our videos and blog them if you have a blog.
If you do good videos which attract new members to the site - and they have high view counts on Youtube.com, we will consider awarding free months of membership as well.
To choose a quality game for the basis of a video which has not been done yet, please use this page and check for where there is no clickable Video icon. These games are often featured Master games of the day choices or other interesting games - the more people that have attempted a game, the more likely it is to be interesting for doing an annotation video.
Once you have completed your video, uploaded it to Youtube.com, and youtube indicates the Embed code, then please click the "Post" link, and embed your video code as the 1st post for the game - this will create the video icon for that game, and help ensure other members don't do that game.

Excellent! :) The tags will take a little time to have effect - usually give it the next day. I would suggest adding more tags - the following tags for example, to maximise ease of search :-
chess letsplaychess.com game annotated chessgame chessgames.livejournal.com outpost

Wed Jul 18 2007 3:29AM | MsgID: 7229945 "Kidsgrove"? as in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Stoke-on- Trent? Do you know the Full Moon pub in Newcastle? on another more apt note - I have a logi-tech web cam, does that mean that I can record live games and broadcast them? Sorry for sounding a bit dim but certain aspects of technology make me very nervous!
