I think Manju settled this himself but...

Roobook may be helluo librorum but he appears to have cacoethes carpendi

He should know better really - cave quid dicis, quando, et cui

I think the only fitting redress is for him to apologise and present a detailed analysis in his finest Latin - that culpae poenae par esto

As we all know diligentia maximum etiam mediocris ingeni subsidium

Nil desperandum

PS – I love Americans, but not when they try to talk French. So glad they never try to talk English

This is distracting to an analytical mind that starts wondering where this accent comes from instead of focusing 100% on the content of the good content.

If you can speak Dutch (or any other language) as well as Manju speaks English, then you have cause for complaint. If not, then don't criticise others for that which you can't do yourself.

I agree, with this;"4. f3. As black,I try to play The Grunfeld and I found weaknesses in my middle game. Thank you for this f3,now I can defend against this. c5 (or even possible,Nd7,would of been better for black). C5 has an anvantage of opening up black's queen and give it breathing room to move and to counter attack, white's center strong hold.I 'll be ready for this,4.f3 and a much thanks.Gary Seven.

@ Roo_Bookaroo, yes I know my accent is different than how many people speak. But don't worry, just watch the rest of my 116 chess videos and I'm sure you'll get used to it.

I disagree with your assessment of how a person talks...He has a good understanding of chess, which is why we are all here to learn...isn't it refreshing that God did not make us all with the same voice? So instead of picking apart someone else language, get the "beam" out of your eye first! Thats All...good presentation. Your aceent is fine with me!

Thanks for a very clear, interesting presentation - and congratulations on your win. I played the Grunfeld for black for awhile some years ago and no one ever tried 4.f3.
I would have had to dig around in the library to work out how to handle it. Over the board it would be quite a surprise. I would probably have played 4....Bg7, but this may not be the best.
Both Jonathan Rowson's "Understanding the Grunfeld" (Gambit 1999) and Nigel Davies "The Grunfeld Defence" (Everyman 2002) suggest 4....c5 as the most challenging reply, and Davies also recommends 4.....Nc6, 4. ....c6 or 4.....e6. Do you have any experience with these?

Thanks again for the presentation. Best regards.
