Yes there are. There are stupid people as well.

For example I was going to ask why not qa3.

If you mean why not Qa3 now then white has Rxf8check..Kxf8; Qxc3..gxf6 and white is a bishop up.
There may be better lines but this is good enough for white to win from.

[Quote from: "dellman"]Well I guess it's ..Rxd8

White then has either Rf1 or a4. Note that Be2 does not work to ..h4.

After the expected 23. Rf1 Qxa6 24. Qf3 we will need to discuss the ..Qa3 idea which I currently favour, or ..Rd7 or ..f6.

If you look several move threads back, You'll find I had analyzed several options including Qa3. I recall Qa3 was a gimmick attack that ultimately doesn't work. White has very good winning chances against it. Same thing with f6. Eventually I found the "Big Struggle" line was Rd7, where I spent quite some time trying to find a way for white to force a win, but ultimately concluded black can hold the draw with best play. It's just my personal opinion at this point because I'm too busy to work on this game right now, but I felt Rd7 was the only solid option to play.

Since your earlier work, a large thread at move 20 demonstrated that ..Qa3 is not gimmickly and provided better chances than ..Rd7. At that point I changed my view.

The idea of ..Qa3 is that after Qxc3 ..Ra8 white playing Qb2 allows Qb4 and Qxe4 whilst the white queen gets back into play.

No doubt this will all be discussed in 2 moves time when we get to that position. In the meantime, I see no choice in other moves at this move or next.
