Never forgets! Our conversation was not the only, or indeed, the first one on this topic in fact, although you are correct in reminding us.
As K has confirmed, this will be resolved in the near future but there are a number of more pressing issues to work on at the present time.

This topic has come up a few times before (even from me! ) and perhaps the best example is other reminders thread where it was suggested that
a) Reminders are not sent out to people on holiday, and
b) Reminders are sent out to those who have exceeded time limit + 1 day (or similar).
Not sure whether this finally ended up in Apollo's work list or not?

I've never sent reminders, but if that's really how the function works, maftei makes a good point.

On the site you have the possibility to send reminders to the opponents that have not moved for 10 days or longer.
Unfortunately when sending these reminders (to the opponents being late) the reminders are sent to people that are not late at all (for instance to the guys you play a 15 day move games).Then the guy that has 15 days to move is not happy to get a reminder on the 12th day thinking that you are trying to put pressure on him/her.
So can you ask your programmer to fix this issue:reminders to be sent only to the opponents that are truly late
