J

J'adoube
This is a legal way of announcing that one is going to adjust the pieces without making a move. This term is most relevant to Over-the-board chess. On Chessworld you can click a piece, and then click the "Undo button" to click on another.

In a famous over the board game between the following two players:

Apparently Kasparov touched a piece on move 36 about to play Nc5, and did not clearly say J'Adoube, and then proceeded to undo the move, which caused some controversy. It is best always to say J'Adoube very clearly to avoid such controversies in Over-the-board games.
